Description:

Stern Grove is a unique city park. It contains a natural amphitheater resting about 100 feet below street level. Entering the concert area from any direction is enchanting. Festival events consistently attract a very diverse audience, which makes the day that much more exciting. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and fun.

One Brick will greet Festival patrons, distribute programs, assist with the seating and collect donations. During the show, we'll get to enjoy the performance from reserved seating. Afterwards, we will assist with breakdown; please make sure you can stay and help out breakdown until 6pm before you sign up; sign out will be mendatory at 6pm (or upon released by Stern Grove volunteer coordinator).

*All drinks and beverages in coolers are for Stern Grove Memebers and VIPs only. Volunteers should not drink while on duty. One Brick will not be able to accommodate drop-in volunteers or volunteers' friends or family members for reserved seating.

Other Info: MEETING POINT:Please meet at the Volunteer Booth. Water and snacks will be available. BRING:A packed lunch, picnic, wine or other delectables to enjoy while watching the performances. PARKING: is available. The assigned Event Manager will coordinate details the week of the event.

Organization: Stern Grove Festival Association

Stern Grove Festival Association is a nonprofit organization committed to providing the people of the Bay Area with admission-free access to diverse performing arts. The association has presented the Stern Grove Festival in this beautiful outdoor amphitheater in San Francisco every year since 1938. It is funded entirely by charitable contributions from individuals, foundations, corporations and government sources. Each season includes a wide variety of traditional and contemporary styles from all over the world. Each concert attracts 8,000 - 10,000 people.

Driving: From the South Bay: 280-North to 19th Avenue exit. At the first stoplight, bear right onto Junipero Serra. Turn left at Sloat Boulevard. From the East Bay: Bay Bridge to 101-South to 280-South. Exit at Ocean Avenue and turn right. Bear right onto Junipero Serra. Turn left at Sloat Boulevard. From the North Bay: Golden Gate Bridge to 19th Avenue/Park Presidio exit. Continue on 19th Avenue. Turn right at Sloat Boulevard.

Transit: MUNI buses: 23 and 28, exit at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard MUNI Metro: K or M, exit at the St. Francis Circle stop and walk down Sloat Boulevard BART: to Civic Center and transfer to MUNI Metro K or M; to Glen Park and transfer to MUNI bus 23; to Daly City and transfer to MUNI bus 28

Please Note: Public transportation is highly encouraged. Street parking in the area is extremely limited. There is a limited amount of parking for volunteers - please mention "parking required" when you RSVP! Stern Grove Festival will provide complimentary bike valet service at the 19th Avenue and Sloat entrance to the park. The valet service will open at 10:00 a.m. and close one hour after the concert ends.
